COLLECTORMANIA OMGGGGGG. Right. So.

1) In the event of not finding a digital camera on time I have bought five disposable cameras so I AM PREPARED.
2) I'll be wearing a red blouse, black waistcoat and boots. Not sure what pants I'll be wearing yet or if I'll be wearing pants.
3) I have every essential necessary for packing; mooncup, paracetamol, beechams powders, tissues, caffeine, chocolate, paper, money, tickets, whipped cream, cherries, pens, undies, socks, nighties, blanket, shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, makeup, mobile and mobile charger. Not packing any cosplay type stuff so I'll have more room for shopping at this moment in time though I may cave and pack my V mask, black cloak and a black shirt if I'm feeling terribly, terribly lazy.
4) OH MY GOD.
5) Probably going to be terribly boring and just bring DVDs for signing, one of my copies of Soul Reaver 2 (... yes I have more than one SHH IT IS NOT A SIN) and a whoopie cushion.

And, er, that's all I can think of. MUST GET UP EARLY TOMORROW, DAMNIT. Seriously, I am in dire need of an eyebrow-threading session before I go down to London because my eyebrows and eyelashes are trying to mate again and it's NOT GOOD.

Oh, and of course, I've made a list of all my incomplete smut prompts so I have something to do on the train down/in the hotel if I'm on my own at any point or need to try and calm myself down again which is QUITE LIKELY as I've been spontaneously bursting into "!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at least once every half hour or so for the past two days since deciding to actually go.

GUYS I CAN'T ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME. I. Er. My God, will you lot get BLOGGED TO DEATH when I get back, although if I don't find my digital camera it may be a while before you get visual references as my scanner is broken. But. But. AHHHHHH. *is more than a wee bit faint*

Adam Lambert's performance/concert thing on Good Morning America was canceled. FTL, ABC.

Apparently, he's going to be on The Early Show on CBS instead. I don't know if that is a concert thing or what.

solar_cat, Leah and I are still going into NYC. Current plan is for both her and I to make protest signs and protest GMA.

Depending on TES, Leah may be with us, or watching Adam. (Or we might all three be watching Adam. IDK, I'm having trouble tracking ANYTHING down. Perez is my confirmation on him being on the Early Show, so far. I don't trust Perez).

Regardless, later on that day, we three will still be going to the Burton Exhibit at MOMA.

ANYWAY: I called 1-818-460-7477, (then 1 on first menu, 2 on second, 3 on the third and 466 for GMA extension) and left a message.

Everyone should do the same thing. There were about 1500 complaints for his AMA performance, let's double/triple those complaints for canceling his GMA appearance.

I'm sick of the double standard where if a women performer does the EXACT same routine, nothing is said, because male sexuality is the only type of sexuality that is appropriate or exists.

I am SO SICK OF THE FACT that anything that is designed to titillate the straight male gaze is fine, but the second something is designed to titillate the straight womens' gaze or the gay mens' gaze - it's sick and wrong.

FUCK THAT SHIT.

Fuck that shit SO HARD. My sexuality and the expression of it is no worse or better then a straight male's.

Fuck that puritanical attitude that someone's sexuality should be non-existent or repressed just because of his/her/zie/hirs gender or sexual orientation.

IN SHORT, call and complain and leave messages about ABC's decision. THEN, hit them where it really hurts and a) drop their ratings DOWN and b) boost The Early Shows ratings WAY up.

lol so Harl's "stalker" dA account is pretty much the least effective malicious troll I've ever seen. Fail, guys.

Well, this has managed to become the single most offensive thing I've seen in KH fandom. I mean, holy shit. Holy shit. And the fact that the cosplayer has standard white person "I'm part Native, this is my heritage, teehee!~" syndrome makes it all the worse.

Seriously, why do people think this stuff is okay? And of course nobody on dA sees the big fucking problem with this. I'll give 4chan one thing: at least some people on there can recognize cultural appropriation and racism (yes, you can be racist without being malicious) when they see it.



And no, the fact that Disney pulls this shit is not an excuse.

But at least this icon's now appropriate for something other than general "it's Thanksgiving season and Thanksgiving sucks" sentiment.

S'up my beloved flist <3? It's occurred to me that I have a tendency to be chronically disorganised and of recent I've been a wee bit overwhelmed with comments and similar, so! I figure, best thing for it is to do the sensible thing and put up a top-of-LJ post for people to poke me on.

Generally speaking I do manage to reply to most comments within a week these days but I know for a fact I do keep lagging behind, so I figured the sensible thing would be to make something where if there're any pressing questions I've forgotten to answer, or other odds and ends I've forgotten to do, people can poke me and get an answer quickly; it'll be prioritised over replying to other comments and that way I can rest reasonably assured if there's anything desperately important I'm not missing it.
