Feel like I should post something
Seems like I haven't posted anything new here for a while. Hm, maybe I was just too lazy.

Anyway, here.

American Gods fanart, Salim. The last picture I draw of him he didn't look quite like a Arab, so I thought I should change the way I drew him. And this is how he looks like now.

This is when he came back to the hotel and saw the ifrit waiting for him in the lobby. I assumed that it was still raining outside.

Next is Sandman, Daniel/Dream. I was inspired by the full moon.

"Did you dream of this moon?"

Then, this is my original characters. I still haven't given them names.

"Come closer,...

"...And I'll bite your lip off."
"Oooh, touchy."

And a fanart of a Thai movie "รักแห่งสยาม", or Love of Siam. But I'd like to talk about the movie first.

If you look at these posters of the movie, even the trailer, you'll never know who are the main couple of the story.

If you think this is just another lovey-dovey teen movie, think again.

That's why many moviegoers were pretty upset when they came out of the theater. They hadn't expected it to be like this.

I don't have a problem with that at all. LOL It's not only a coming of age movie but also talks about family issues. Plus, the boy in green is really cute. XD

I'm not sure how much I like the movie, but I think it's enough to make me want to draw fanart.

The last picture is lovely lovely lovely. I spent a whole minute staring at the detail of their sleeves -- their postures and their body language are perfect.

The way you articulate the bends and shape of fabrics is damn near hypnotizing! Each of those is more lovely than the one before and I adore the art from American Gods. The Salim/Djinn story was so beautiful even if it ended on a somewhat uplifting yet tragic note~

OMg what are these from? Call me behind...or just into certain things, but I really wanna see that Thai movie and I also wanna know where Salim is from?! Like, what story/fandom/whatever because now I wanna read that story.
What kind is it? Where can I get it?!

Great art, btw!

The first one is from the novel 'American Gods' by Neil Gaiman. But this character has only a very small part in the book which doesn't relate to the main plot. But I think it gives more detail to the whole situation. I really recommend it. :D

The second one is a comic book series called The Sandman by the same writer.

And for the movie, it was just released last week so I think you have to wait for some time. The DVD I think is due around February.

Great art, btw! Thank you! XD

The drawing of Salim is beautiful - the raindrops add so much emotion. And I love Daniel and the moon - all of your art is so beautiful.

I just kind of sailed on to your journal from [info]lower_tadfield and I must say, your art is beautiful. That last picture, especially, is wonderful . . . the way the viewer can't see the subjects' faces, the light, sketchy coloring, EVERYTHING! *fangirls*
